Professional dance drama group “Orchid”  invites dancers to audition for 2012-2013 dance season, on May 19and August 11, 2012 at 11:00 am. This will be a  performance project  with an anti drug message titled “Needle”. There are paid and apprentice positions available. Company dancers will have performance opportunity and have a socially valuable message about making a difference in peoples lives.   Audition  will include ballet class and contemporary/modern improvisation. DANCE AUDITIONS

The Dancing Wheels Company, America’s first, professional, physically
integrated dance company, is currently seeking male and female dancers
for employment in the 2012-2013 season. Dancing Wheels is a national
touring company that works with highly acclaimed choreographers each
year. Most recent works include full-length pieces from Donald
McKayle, Dianne McIntyre, Nai-Ni Chen, Christopher Fleming, Michael
Uthoff, Peter Kalivis, and David Rousseve.

Dance positions offer full 52-week contracts, competitive rates of
compensation, and an opportunity to travel throughout the country and
abroad (with all expenses paid). The company is auditioning male and
female stand-up and sit-down (wheelchair*) dancers. Stand-up dancers
must have a strong background in both ballet and classical modern
dance techniques.  Sit-down dancers with dance experience are
preferred but will accept apprentice level for those with no prior
dance experience, but demonstrate athleticism, wheelchair speed and
agility.

All applicants should be comfortable with speaking in front of large
audiences. Dancing Wheels provides training in these areas.

An opportunity to audition will be given to participants of our Adult
Summer Dance Workshop held at the Dancing Wheels studios June 11-15,
2012.  Please bring resume, headshots and samples of work if

Wright State University Dance Auditions for 2012-2013
Dance auditions for admittance into the BFA dance program at Wright
State University for year 2012-2013 will be offered on February 11 and
February 25 in the Creative Arts Center on campus at WSU in Dayton,
OH. A third audition will be held during the WSU Dance Intensive,
Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 3-4 pm. The auditions will include
a ballet barre followed by center combinations in ballet, modern and
jazz. Photographs are required for all those auditioning. Students interested
in auditioning for the WSU/ Dayton Ballet II program and/or the
WSU/Dayton Contemporary Dance Company II program must submit
a videotape/dvd two weeks prior to the audition. For specifics, please
